A quiet week on the chat with one Friday keeper to show for it, a boatload of shorts, and a fog bank that had everyone asking how the ocean looked — here's the week of August 24–30.
Fri 8/28 — Joe C weighed a 22.5" fluke at 3.8 lb off the Sea Girt Reef. The ocean was very calm with hardly a breeze, but pretty foggy in the morning. He ended up with about 10 short fluke and 10 short black sea bass before rushing home around noon ahead of the thunderstorms.
Fri 8/28 — Luis C fished the Axel Carlson with Jack P and Bob M the same day and reported nothing but shorts.
Fred T's 24.5" fluke from the previous Sunday still holds the club lead, and with the Labor Day fluke tournament right around the corner it's a good week to get the racks frozen and the rods ready.
Tight lines — see you next week.
