Bob More's first ocean fish and a Sea Girt double-header

A milestone catch at the Youth Clinic and a first ocean fish on the Queen Mary highlighted the week.

6/9/26:

Fred T - Fished Sea Girt reef and the Axel. Good bite at Sea Girt with 5 solid keepers and a couple dozen shorts before the wind swung from southwest to dead south. Moved down to the Axel and, despite the south wind, picked up three more good ones plus a couple nice tog and another 20 or so shorts. Most fish came on clam, with a few jigged up on sand eels at the Axel.

MFC Black Sea Bass trip aboard the Queen Mary - the group got a few decent fish, and Bob More landed his first ever ocean-caught fish.

6/13/26:

MFC/Manasquan Recreation Youth Fishing Clinic at Mac's Pond - several fish caught by the kids, including a nice largemouth bass.
