Persistence pays: a 47 and a 48 off Long Branch

One trip made the week: Luis C kept at it and came home with two big bass.

Oct. 13 — Luis C started off Belmar and found lots of bunker but no bites, so he headed north. The move paid off: a 47-incher and a 48-incher off Long Branch. Both came on the troll, which Luis says is his least favorite way to fish. Brian F noticed the fish looked like they were tight to the beach. Fred T summed it up: "Perseverance paid off!"

It was a quiet week in the chat otherwise, and Lou's pair was the only trip report.
